Zombies Vs. Lawnmowers

Concept

Zombies Vs. Lawnmowers is a local party game where four players compete in getting the most amount of points before the time runs out. Each player controls their own lawnmower and earns points by cutting grass and killing zombies that continually spawn into the garden.

Background

The game was made as part of a game jam called Falunacy, held at PlaygroundSquad inside the "Tension-house" in late autumn of 2018, located in Falun, Sweden. We were 9 people in total working on this project and ultimately used Unity 3D as our engine as well as other complementary software such as Autodesk Maya and Photoshop CS6.

 

My role in this project was as a designer. Although, since it was a very brief project, the work was a bit more diverse than just design. My responsibilities included the following:

 

  • GDD writing

  • Gameplay Design

  • Unity Animation Research

  • 3D Modelling

  • Particle Effects for Pick-ups
